Another busy week for AA Moves, and we getting plenty of use out of the tail-lifts fitted to all our vans. They are becoming more and more vital these days with many more people needing to move larger items such as American style fridge-freezers and range cookers. A tail lift ensures any heavy or large items can be loaded and un-loaded safely and without risk of damage, this is especially true of a baby grand piano we had to move as part of a complete home removal in Marylebone last week. The piano weighed 252Kg and required a purpose built piano board and special trolly to move it, and this is why a tail-lift is essential for moving such a delicate precision instrument. The whole operation from removal of the legs and pedal mechanism, transit and re-assembly went very smoothly from start to finish. We have moved many pianos in this way and take extreme care with each one.
